In the depths of the Atlantic Ocean, researchers recently discovered, dozens of rare species proliferate. Among the craggy under-sea peaks and large, dark valleys, strange creatures thrive in spite of the darkness and lack of food. Among them, are several rarely seen elsewhere -- more than 10 potential new species -- and even a strange creature that may be a "missing link" between vertebrate and invertebrate life.
