Morieka Johnson is the creator of Soulpup, a website and podcast about responsible pet ownership. She covered pet products, health, and training issues for Mother Nature Network (now part of Treehugger) from 2009-2013. She has also written for Dogster. Previously, Johnson served as an editor and journalist at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She is currently Senior Manager for Diversity & Inclusion at Cox Communications.


Johnson received a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Emory University and a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University.
