From pop-up trailers to custom-crafted, human-powered geometric caravans, we're big fans of mobile living. But for those who want to convert an existing vehicle into a travel-ready home, there seems to be less options, short of a build-it-out, do-it-yourself solution. That's why we like the idea behind Spanish company Ovicuo's Kangoo Camper Travelpack: conceived as a modular addition, it features many camping creature comforts, allowing travellers to set up camp and pack up easily.
Designed in collaboration with French car-maker Renault, the Kangoo Camper Travelpack is made for Renault's line of Kangoo leisure activity vehicles. The Travelpack is a portable system that can transform to adapt to different uses in a matter of moments, be it eating, sitting or sleeping, and all confined in a modular, pull-out unit. See it in action:
The Travelpack features a mini-kitchen kitted out with sink, stove and storage. A collapsible table fits into the back door of the van, paired with two foldable seats.
There's a platform that can be arranged for sleeping as well, with the head clearance looking not too tight.
Perfect for couples or a young family, the concept of a ready-made, modular camper unit that can be added onto vehicles could have great appeal for those who want to transform their existing vehicle into a mini-camper for extended road trips. More over at Ovicuo.
