A not-or-profit association Sustainable Gardening Australia (SGA) has, since 2002, had the objective of helping home gardeners "garden in a way that minimises the environmental impacts of gardening and enhances the positive environmental impacts." They advise on topics such as water, weeds, indigenous plants, chemicals, waste, green purchasing and sustainable design. SGA has also developed and delivered training to professional gardeners in subjects like garden water auditing, greywater, and rainwater systems. Additionally they developed, with external funding and support, the Green Gardeners tertiary training program for people working in the landscape and nursery industries. And that's just some of their story. ::Sustainable Gardening Australia.
