Kristin Underwood has more than twelve years in the solar industry and currently runs her own solar consulting service in Orange County, CA. She wrote for Treehugger from 2009-2006. Underwood received an undergraduate degree from American University with a double major in International Relations and Environmental Policy and completed her Masters at Columbia University in Climate and Society, focusing on strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Her past work experiences have included working as a deckhand, interning with Greenpeace, and a three-year stint at the US Environmental Protection Agency.
