Introduction

Kate Bratskeir is a food writer who focuses on plant-based protein, non-dairy milk alternatives and all of the many new options for eating less meat cropping up in the grocery store every day.

Experience

Kate previously worked at Mic as a senior editor, covering food, health and the environment. Her work on recycling, plastic and sustainability, published in numerous publications, helped to inform her book, "A Pocket Guide to Sustainable Food Shopping: How to Navigate the Grocery Store, Read Labels, and Help Save the Planet," which was published by Simon and Schuster in January 2021.

Education

Kate graduated with a BA from Skidmore College. She is currently continuing her education by taking the "Beyond Plastic Pollution" course at Bennington College.
