Regrow These 6 Fruits From Kitchen Scraps

From berries and citrus to tomatoes and pineapple, use leftover bits to grow whole new plants over and over again.

Fruit and vegetables are remarkable things – and unlike processed food, they come with their own magical regenerative powers. Whether in the form of seeds or through vegetative propagation (in which a part of the fruit is used to produce a new plant), they offer a gift that keeps on giving: Themselves!

The ever upbeat Tasty made the video below; it gives a pretty good overview of how to embark on a gardening journey starting out with bits and pieces of:

1. Strawberries
2. Raspberries
3. Citrus
4. Tomatoes
5. Avocadoes
6. Pineapple

We always advocate for reducing food waste by employing your scraps for another purpose; starting new plants seems about as noble (and frugal) a purpose one could devise!
