Naturally Dyed Tibean Carpets by Garuda

hemp3.jpgGaruda's carpets are hand woven in their weaving centre in Nepal and imported to their headquarters in Boulder, Colorado. The carpets are naturally dyed using a variety of indigenous Nepalese plants. Garuda say they are "committed to providing decent living and working conditions for our employees. Child labor is illegal in Nepal and is not practiced at our weaving centre." The materials woven into the rugs include Tibetan wool, Chinese silk and unbleached Nepalese hemp. No chemical washes or bleaches are used. :: Garuda [by Justin Thomas]
