Gina G. Warren writes about animals, the natural world, and human relationships. She is the author of "Hatched: Dispatches from the Backyard Chicken Movement."
Warren is a writer whose work has appeared in a number of publications, including "Orion," "Bacopa Literary Review," "Creative Nonfiction," and Terrain.org. Her first book, "Hatched: Dispatches from the Backyard Chicken Movement" (University of Washington Press), was published in 2021. It grapples with how to be an ethical eater in a capitalist society, and explores the complexities of raising one's own food.
Warren has an MFA in creative writing from Northwest Institute of Literary Arts and a PhD in English from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
