EcoCharge Uses Heat From Cooking Pots To Charge Your Phone

Of all the interesting ways to charge a device over the years, this concept design might take first place. The EcoCharge is a design by Ardavan Mirhosseini that attaches magnetically to metal surfaces to collect waste heat and turn it into energy for gadget charging.

You can pop it onto a heater or (gulp) a metal pot on the stove, and, according to Yanko Design, "using thermoelectric generator modules, the unit converts heat generated from cookware, home-heaters or any other source into usable electricity."

Odd, yes. Functional, maaaaaaaybe. Something you'd use? Tell us in the comments!
