Wind-powered gadgets just got a step closer, thanks to a new design concept which could charge your electronics using the power of your breath.
The AIRE mask concept, from designer João Paulo Lammoglia, would convert wind energy from the user's breath into electricity via small wind turbines, in order to recharge small electronic devices, according to Earth Techling.
"AIRE can be used in any situation, indoors or outdoors. It can be used while you sleep, walk, run, or read a book, for example. Besides saving energy (and contributing to environmental preservation), it also encourages the practice of physical exercise." - Lammoglia
The AIRE mask captured the RedDot Design Award: Best of the Best 2011 for Lammoglia, and this writer hopes we see a production model in the near future, as it could really change the way we think about micro-wind power!
