She also worked as a research assistant at Andrew Leaky Lab at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, where she helped study the effects of ozone on maize pollen viability and the effects of drought and density on setaria grass.
Eileen holds a bachelor's degree in integrative biology (Honors program) from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
