Pulp Chair

poesispulpchair.jpg

Poesis is a husband and wife architecture/furniture design studio whose work is featured in the Philadelphia Museum of Art and assorted private collections. They came up with a new eco-friendly compound (compressed mix of recycled newspaper, water and wax) and created the Pulp Armchair out of it in a formaldehyde-free, closed loop system. The sides are sanded to a velvety soft texture and trimmed with stain-resistant maple or walnut. My only temptation would be to try and find a more rectilinear back-pillow and perhaps try the cushions in a grey (but hey...i'm an architect so i'm scared of color). Thanks for the tip Meaghan O'Neill! ::Poesis
