We love showing objects that serve multiple purposes, but this is perhaps the first time we have shown one that serves multiple species: a sofa with a dog bed built right into the end. The top becomes a convenient built-in end-table.

In a world where people are having fewer children, pets are taking a more prominent role. Designer Seungji Mun of m.pup notes that in Korea, millions of people are "cultivating companion animals." They have developed a line of furniture that they say "works as a tool of communion between human and companion animals."

It is produced with eco-friendly ash wood and natural fabrics. Lots more photos on designboom.

The dog house is cute, too.
