Mogga Transformer Chair

mogga2_web.jpg

We have been showing tables that transform, but few chairs and never one like the Mogga, from Icelandic designer Olafur Omarsson. It uses tambour wood (usually strips of wood bonded to a flexible backer) which slides in grooves on the frame to act as a seat in one position, a table in another. Says the designer:" Mogga was designed for small spaces. Imaginary scenario was created by the designer where people would need a chair that could be turned into a table without many problems. Function was inspired by old breadboxes and was tested on another design project leading to the Mogga design" ::Omarsson via ::Design Spotter
