Emiliano Godoy Biodegradable Knit Chair

Held together by rope, the Knit chair breaks apart into smaller elements when its fasteners wear out or become loose at the end of its life cycle. The individual components--FSC-certified aircraft plywood, cotton rope, and carnauba wax--can then be put outdoors or into a compost pile as they are biodegradable. The flexible chair, designed by the same fellow who brought us golf tees made from sugar, responds dynamically to the user’s body, adapting lightly to the movements, size, and posture of the user. ::Goodoy Lab [by MO]
