Burn Up is a two-part miniseries that explores the oil industry from the inside. The series premiered in the UK in 2008 to rave reviews and went on to win a Rose d'Or.
Now, the series will premier for the first time in the United States on Planet Green. From the oil fields of Saudi Arabia to the oil mansions of London, lobbyists in Washington to environmental activists willing to do anything for their cause, Burn Up follows the drama of the "last great game," in which the entire planet is at stake.
Laura Michalchyshyn, President and General Manager, Planet Green, described the series by saying:
It's rare to have the pleasure to present a mini series special that tackles the tough subject of one of the biggest issues of our time- the international oil crisis - with such dramatic velocity. The story is compelling and the acting superb, one comes away from the special with the sense that in this case fiction portrays the truth in a most powerful and provocative manner.
Part one of Burn Up will premier on Planet Green December 7, 2009, at 9 pm Eastern.
