At TreeHugger, we're not only dedicated to keeping you informed on environmental issues, but we're also committed to providing everyone with the resources they need to make their lives a little greener and a little better.
Given that, we'd like to announce a new Educator's Forum where teachers can get together and share their ideas for the classroom in a positive and collaborative environment. In addition to creating a forum dedicated to education, we've also created a Educator Usergroup. By joining this group you'll have access to special forums, private messaging tools, and will be notified when any new materials are available.
We'll also be giving away some great Discovery and TreeHugger gear, books, and videos to educators as well.
And if that wasn't enough, we'll have some great interviews and a few surprises along the way.
We've also partnered with Discovery Education's Live Green Teacher Grants:
A science teacher from Alaska. An English teacher from the Bronx. A health teacher from Maine. Representing a range of subject areas as diverse as their geographic locations, these educators share a common vision - to educate and inspire the next generation of eco-smart, energy aware students.
Selected for their innovative ideas and unique approaches to incorporating the topic into their curriculum, these teachers will each receive a $1000 grant to help fund their project and continue their efforts to LIVE GREEN.
We're providing this years grant winners with a place where they can share their winning ideas, thoughts, and feedback with all educators.
We look forward to working together to help our teachers succeed with the already amazing job they do.
