The Third International Television Festival For Urban Ecology

This festival is held by La Casa Encendida, a cultural education community centre in Madrid, Spain. It will be held in November this year and the organisers are now calling for all film makers, whether budding amateurs or seasoned professionals, to submit their latest creative gems on the subject of urban ecology.There are four categories in which you can enter your films:

Best Professional Production for Video and Television
Best Amateur Production for Video and Television
Best Documentary
Best One-Minute Video

The winner of each category will receive a trophy and certificate, the winner of The Best Amateur Production will additionally receive €6000 cash prize and the winner of the Best One-Minute Video will additionally receive a €3000 cash prize. All the winners will be invited to take part in the festival in November. Entries, from all over the world, are welcomed in either English or Spanish.

The festival provides a showcase for new talent and the opportunity for film makers to meet and discuss their work. It is particularly directed towards professionals from Spain, Portugal and Latin America. The aim is to develop collaborations in the fields of documentary making and ecology. There will also be opportunities to pitch ideas to a group of international television programmers.

The date by which you have to send your entries in is 30th September 2005. Their production should have been completed by 1st January 2002 and they can be sent in VHS or DVD format.
