Should Happy Meals Be Banned?

Even Brian is conflicted about San Francisco's banning of toy-based promotion of unhealthy food, writing "I understand the discomfort with the law, especially since it seems that for many, Happy Meals have an emotional resonance from childhood". Having two children, I have no such emotional resonance, I just remember fighting over them. Is it nanny-state interference in the parents' role or is it healthy regulation of marketing to children?
