Last year, Redwood Creek Winery offered a $50,000 grant to one exceptional non-profit working in the "great outdoors." The contest was such a success, that they have decided to do it again.
This time, however, there are even more chances to win.In addition to the grand prize—one $50,000 grant to assist an "environmental projects that aim to preserve, protect and provide access to the great American outdoors"—The winery will also be giving out eight $10,000 grants to other organizations with unique, specific, projects.
Only official representatives of the organization can apply, so if you have a favorite non-profit you are not intimately involved with, its best to let the administrators know. Once they have entered, they will be evaluated by a panel of judges and receive votes from interested individuals.
Organizations can apply anytime until February 28, 2010. Once the entry window has closed, a voting period opens from April 1, 2010 to July 31, 2010. After that, the winners are announced.
