The ReCharge America website features a simple plan that anyone can use to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and save hundreds of dollars each year in energy costs. On Monday, thousands of people across the country will use the 10-step toolkit on ReCharge America to audit their own homes and then to reach out friends and neighbors to spread the savings.

The steps include such actions as setting your refrigerator for optimal performance, asking your utility companies about access to renewable energy, and insulating your home.
