Storefront of Green Tangerine.
Green Tangerine, the new "pop up shop" by Dianne Kraus is now open in Los Angeles. Pop up shops are the latest eco store design in that they provide a near carbon free footprint, save costs for small business owners and cut down on the footprint size of a storefront. In these trying times, when many small business owners, especially green ones with higher end items, are having a hard time beating the recession having a smaller (more efficient) storefront is one way to keep your triple bottom line green. If you only have 98 square feet of retail space, you've got to really streamline your operation. You have to really consider what you will sell - both what people will want to buy and what you find most important for your store. When you are only renting or purchasing a tiny space, you might find yourself with extra funds to reinvest in the store. The Green Tangerine popup shop is very green with no-VOC paint, recycled wood shelves and metal studs for display ledges, and the space itself is in a historic building where several green shops all share a communal courtyard.
Green Tangerine now offers sustainable gift and home decor items in the Brentwood pop up shop location. Owner Kraus fills the store with sustainable design items that she finds from either local companies, or from Brazil - everything in the store is either recycled, vintage or new made from recycled materials. In addition, Kraus can offer expert eco-friendly interior design advice. She is both LEED Certified and a licensed interior designer, a perfect combo for helping you green design your home or business.
Green Tangerine is located at 11973 San Vicente Blvd in Los Angeles. They are open M, W, F from 10-2 and Sat/Sun from 10-6. :Green Tangerine
