Japan Design Foundation: International Design Competition Osaka 2005

With their International Design Competition this year, the Japan Design Foundation (JDF) hopes to link designers with business and industrial communities and plan to work hard to create opportunities and business talks between these designers and manufacturers. In short, the competition aims at ultimately producing the winning entries. The main theme of this year's competition is "Energy: Sustainable and Enjoyable Life" with three sub-themes: Livingware (appliances), Living Atmosphere (energy source innovations) and Living Environment (community planning).
