Give Your Pitch for The Beat Waste Startup Challenge

The Beat Waste Startup Challenge, sponsored by the Adventure Ecology and Sculpt the Future Foundation, is offering $25,000 in prizes to innovative businesses dedicated to reducing waste.

It's open to any early-stage venture and all it takes to enter is a short elevator pitch.Business that earned less than $200,000 in income, revenue, or funding before December 31, 2009, are eligible for entry. The application period is open until June 6th, 2010, and requires only the short elevator pitch (three minutes or less) and a 200 word description of the company. Pitches should be uploaded to YouTube, but for more information about apply, visit the challenge's website.

Entries will be judged by an all-star panel including Paul Hawken, Graham Hill, Adam Lowry, Blake Mycoskie, David de Rothschild, and several others. The panel will be looking for pitches that reduce waste and form a cradle to cradle production loop but also are feasible, scalable, satisfy a customer need, and present a serious roadmap for implementation.
