E-Force: The Environmental Reality Show

If, as a devoted TreeHugger reader (and I know you are), you haven't been convinced that environmental awareness is finally getting some pop-culture credentials, then I think this post might move you in that direction. Apparently, the reality TV show "E-Force" (the "E" is for, you guessed it: environmental) is the second most popular show on the Outdoor Life Network. Yeah, that's right - an environmental reality show has hit the big time. E-Force follows the adventures of Florida's Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers as they enforce rules protecting fisheries and wildlife. ''It's sort of like the Travel Channel meets Animal Planet meets Cops,'' says FWC Officer Liz Riesz, ''It's gratifying and encouraging to know that there are people out there seeing what we do everyday to earn our living and protect the critters and the people so there is still something out there 20 years from now."
