The controversial Keystone XL pipeline has inspired people to form blockades to slow construction, get arrested at the White House, form a tree blockade and occupy bank buildings that are invested in the project, just to name a few of the actions activists have taken to stop the project.
For one Nebraskan living in New York, the easiest, but most effective way to raise awareness is with a simple sign. After being given a anti-Keystone XL yard sign that was overlooked in her Brooklyn neighborhood, Barbara Haws decided to try another way to get the message in front of as many people as possible.
