Toyota to Make Hybrid Camrys

Hmm, perhaps hybrids will be going maintstream soon enough. Toyota just annnounced plans to start producing a hybrid version of the popular Camry in late 2006. Toyota said it will have capacity to build about 48,000 of the eco-vehicles per year. It would be the first hybrid automobile constructed for Toyota in the U.S. Toyota said hybrid production will take place on the plant's existing lines. They do not plan to do any new construction.
