Beginning in Tampa, FL and Dallas, TX Pizza Hut chains, the popular pie company will soon offer a pizza made with a multigrain crust, organic tomato sauce and preservative-free toppings.
While this is not the Jared-diet, the pizza--dubbed "The Natural"--does allow customers to blend healthier options into their pizza. The crust is made from a blend of honey, olive oil and five different whole grains. The sauce blends organic tomatoes and natural (made without preservatives, artificial colors or flavors) cheese. The pizza comes in two versions - The Natural and the Natural Rustica, which contains sausage, tomatoes and red peppers. The Natural pizza will also be packed in a box made from 75% recycled materials. No word on whether all pizzas will be using this better packaging or just The Natural. The pizza will be available nationwide later this year.
