Paul Hawken Speaks

Last Friday, Paul Hawken, author of Natural Capitalism and The Ecology of Commerce and one of our heroes, spoke in San Francisco. According to Hawken, there’s a schism in thought about whether the economy is a subset of the environment, or vice-versa. But one thing’s for sure...The environmental movement as we knew it has snowballed. The movement has become a revolution—an amalgamation of various efforts. Strangely, however, this revolution isn’t one seeking power, and yet it’s already becoming mainstream, although it still appears to be subversive. And it’s multidisciplinary, combining, first and foremost, science, with social activism and justice, capitalism, and design. And it’s taking us with it. Via WorldChanging ::Paul Hawken
