As reported in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Texas USA:- "Natural gas production companies are helping fund a new coalition seeking to prevent the construction of 18 coal-fired electricity-generating plants statewide. Chesapeake Energy Chairman Aubrey McClendon said his company is contributing to the public-relations campaign against plans by TXU Corp. and others to build the coal-fired power plants, which critics say would worsen the state's air pollution". The article also mentions "Chesapeake employs about 700 in Fort Worth" and that 'Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake, the fourth-largest producer of natural gas in the Barnett Shale field and the fifth-largest producer in Texas, said it has contributed to the Clean Sky Coalition (CSC).' [CSC link includes flash intro that we think is time-worthy.] Note: the aforementioned CSC is not to be confused with the White House "Clean Skies Initiative."
