Lou Dobbs Outraged That Obama's Attending Copenhagen (Audio)

Oh, Lou. Hardly out of your contract with CNN, and already trying to contend with the top tier blowhards. Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity have already somehow warped Obama's intent to participate in negotiations for a global climate treaty at Copenhagen into an attempt to dissolve US sovereignty (!), but who would've possibly thought good ol' Lou would've been right behind? And with outrage, no less--on his radio show with Sen. Inhofe, listen as Dobbs chastises Obama: "Who the hell does he think he is!" . . . . . . for attempting to peaceably forge a consensus on how to cut the emissions of harmful pollutants and reduce deforestation and the world's reliance on fossil fuels? How dare he!

Here's the excerpt from the radio show, via the Huffington Post:

Inhofe: . . . this is not a kingdom.

Dobbs: Not yet!

First of all, there is absolutely nothing in Obama's actions that could lead any sane, non-conspiracy theorist to believe that he's attempting to yield US sovereignty or convert the US into a monarchy. That is literally crazy talk. He's simply using the targets established in a bill already passed by the House of Reps--cutting carbon emissions a paltry 17% below 2005 levels by 2020--as an outline to base negotiations on.

And in so doing, decreeing that the United States shall forevermore be known as the Great Kingdom of Obama, and all shall tremble before it! (Better watch what I write though--that's sadly actually not too far off from some of the stuff I get left in the comments . . .)

Seriously, Hannity, Beck and co--and now Dobbs--must be scraping the bottom of the barrel for their delusional conspiracy theories--this one's a new low.
