Ecometropolis Conference

This year's Eco-Metropolis Conference, going on today (November 12th) in NYC brings together many of the cream of Greater New York's grassroots environmental justice, neighborhood, water, air, food and transportation activists; "green" architects and designers; urban planners, social entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, engineers, educators and labor leaders to discuss their work, inspire us (and each other) and help build new partnerships. One special focus this year will be on students and youth and helping to nurture tomorrow's eco leaders. Presenters run the gamut from organic farmers to alternative fuel experts, to policy makers. Admission runs from $25 to $40, and students with ID get in free. Located at the CUNY Graduate Center (365 5th Ave, at 34th St.) Definitely worth a day trip. :: EcoMetropolis
