"America's Ten Worst Greenwashers" by The Green Life

The Green Life has published its "Don’t Be Fooled 2005" report, which contains their list of "America's Ten Worst Greenwashers". Top of the charts are the Ford Motor Company, followed by BP (British Petroleum). In 1999, "greenwash" was added the Oxford English Dictionary, where it is defined as: "Disinformation disseminated by an organization so as to present an environmentally responsible public image." Companies are the most common greenwashers, but other kinds of organizations, such as government agencies and trade groups, also produce greenwash. There's more about greenwashing here. :: Green Life Report via Adventures In Ethical Consumerism [by Justin Thomas]
