Colleen Vanderlinden is a freelance writer and author based in Detroit, Michigan. She writes about organic gardening and is the author of “Edible Gardening for the Midwest” and “Vegetable Gardening for the Midwest.”
When Colleen Vaderlinden isn’t gardening, she's teaching others how to do so. She's gardened in everything from a single window box to a small borrowed plot, and currently rests her garden clogs on 1/4 of an acre in the suburbs of Detroit. She wrote about organic gardening and vegetable-growing for Treehugger from 2011-2012 and The Spruce from 2008 to 2014. Her garden advice has also appeared in Mother Earth News, Northern Gardener, The Detroit News and Birds & Blooms.
Colleen received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Wayne State University.
