Global Warming, Now It's Serious - Warming Since 1995 Statistically 'Significant'

Pardon the attempt at melodrama, which seemed justified since global warming was serious before the latest announcement from climate scientist Phil Jones and it's serious afterwards. According to reports from BBC News Jones says that when new temperature data from 2010 is included, warming since 1995 is now statistically (more) significant.

Jones told the BBC, "The trend over the period 1995-2009 was significant at the 90% level [of confidence], but wasn't significant at the standard 95% level that people extra year has made [the warming] trend significant at the 95% level which is the traditional threshold that statisticians have used for many years."Read more: BBC News
