One High School Student's Big Idea to Harness Wasted Energy

Countless people spend an hours in the gym every week. While there, they do a lot of rowing, spinning, and running. All of that turning, 14-year-old Gustavo Barceloni believes, should be turned into clean, human-generated, electricity.

It's an interesting idea and it won Good and Babelgum's Big Idea contest.Starting in August, the initiative called on readers to submit their most innovative idea. Participants were asked a simple questions: If there weren't any pesky, practical limitations, what world-changing device would you invent?

Nearly a thousand people submitted ideas, solutions from the simple to the insane. Watch them all on GOOD.is or Babelgum.
