Chris Tackett is a writer, editor, social media expert, and strategic marketing consultant living in Brooklyn, New York. With a formal education in journalism, he has an interest in pushing sustainability into the mainstream and now works for the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Tackett wrote articles and managed social media channels for Treehugger from 2008 to 2013, after which he moved to The Dodo and eventually to the Natural Resources Defense Council, where he now works as social media director.
Prior to his time at Treehugger, Tackett wrote for Discovery Communications' Planet Green, alt-news site The Raw Story, and Lawrence.com. He was a columnist for the University Daily Kansan newspaper (where he attended journalism school), and has published several articles in The Atlantic.
Tackett has a Bachelor of Science in strategic communications from the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas.
