Chanie Kirschner is a journalist, advice columnist, blogger, and educator. She has covered a wide array of topics, from pregnancy and parenting to fashion, science, and sustainability.
Kirschner wrote advice columns, explainers, and other articles for Mother Nature Network (now part of Treehugger) for nine years, answering a variety of questions on matters of both curiosity and practicality. Her work has also appeared in other publications, including Woman's Day and From the Grapevine. In addition to writing, she homeschools four children, serves as program director for an after-school program, and writes a blog about homeschooling called Mama Needs Recess.
Kirschner holds a bachelor's degree in English/communications from Yeshiva University, and a master's degree in education from the Azrieli School of Jewish Education at Yeshiva University.
