Cloe Whittaker and Tyson Jerry have been zigging and zagging their vegetable oil powered Mitsubishi van from restaurant to restaurant for fuel, and from school to school to spread an environmental message. In March, they broke the world record of 38,137 kilometres, and are continuing until they do 45,000 kilometres and hit every state, province and territory in the United States and Canada. They were at the Green Living Show, as part of the Ontario Ministry of the Environment exhibit.

I interview Tyson and Cloe at the Green Living Show in Toronto. The voice in the background is Van Jones, who I unfortunately missed. They have been stopping at schools to talk about sustainability, and visiting projects across North America "who have embraced earth-friendly ventures, including sustainable farms, the largest wind and solar farms in the world, and earth homes in New Mexico."

The Veggie Van outside. It is a Mitsubishi Delica that runs on straight vegetable oil, and gets 22.6 miles to the gallon.
