Toronto Transit System Paralyzed By Ducklings

Here is a heartwarming animal story about the peaceful coexistence of nature and urban life: The Scarborough Light Rail Transit system was shut down yesterday- by a family of ducks. According to the Star,
An operator spotted the mother and her ducklings on the tracks as the train was travelling southbound.... The rail service was stopped as supervisors walked down to the track to usher the ducks along. "I guess the lighter side of it all is, yes you'll be late for work, but it's a family of ducks," said [spokesperson] Carrington.

The Toronto Transit Commission has a reputation for being bird friendly, even giving subway rides to pigeons. Mass transit for everyone!
