Not a DreamIt is rare to see talented filmmakers donate their talent and time to make ads for products without any compensation, but the Californian electric car maker Tesla Motors seems to bring out that kind of passion from its supporters. Twin brothers Adam and Nathan Freise fall into that category. They like to make films to feed their passion "for design & fiction, & for fusing the real with the unreal", and this is exactly what they've done in their new short, brought to our attention by Electrek, featuring two Teslas: The electric Model S, obviously, but also the original...
The narration, which is a bit surreal at times, comes directly from a speech by Nikola Tesla, the genius physicist who inspired Tesla Motors' name. He talks about the Wardenclyffe tower project in Shoreham, Long Island, which was supposed to beam electricity wirelessly... But alas, he was never able to finish the project. Here's what the Wardenclyffe tower looks like (look closely and you'll see it in the video):

Here is the transcript of the part of Nikola Tesla's speech that is in the video:
It is not a dream
It is a simple feat of scientific electrical engineering
Electric power can drive the worlds machinery without the need of coal, oil, or gas
Although perhaps humanity is not yet sufficiently advanced to be willingly led by the inventors keen searching sense
Perhaps it is better in this present world of ours that a revolutionary idea be hampered in its adolescence
All that was great in the past was ridiculed, condemned, combatted, suppressed, only to emerge all the more triumphantly from the struggle.
Our duty is to lay the foundation for those that are to come, and to point the way
Yes, humanity will advance with giant strides
We are whirling through endless space at an inconceivable speed
All around everything is spinning; everything is moving;
Everywhere, there is energy!
