Elon Musk, best known for founding and/or running Tesla Motors, SolarCity, and SpaceX (before that he made his money with Paypal and Zip2), has been in the spotlight quite a bit lately. Unlike most brilliant entrepreneurs, he's not trying to build smartphone apps or social photo-sharing websites (or whatever); he's tackling hard problems that, if he's successful, could make our civilization greener and better.
He gave an extended interview at the All Things D conference (aka D11) this week, covering a lot of ground on all the projects he's involved with. Here's the video:
He gives some details about the expansion of the Tesla Supercharger network, saying that it will triple by July, and allow cross country travel (LA to NYC) by year’s end. We'll have more details this afternoon after the official announcement on a conference call by Tesla, stay tuned.
