Ali Berman is the author of “Choosing a Good Life: Lessons from People Who Have Found Their Place in the World” and “Misdirected.” When she isn’t writing, Berman works as the humane educator for HEART, helping to teach children about issues affecting people, animals and the environment.



In addition to writing several books, Berman co-founded flipmeover, a production company that uses media to raise awareness about important social issues. She also co-wrote “quiet de luxe”, a debut short film that has played in film festivals around the world.



Berman attended Sarah Lawrence College, earning her Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing as well as a Master of Fine Arts (MAF) in Fiction.
