After a chance meeting with TreeHugger founder Graham Hill in Providence (what better location for serendipity?), Meaghan O'Neill joined Team TreeHugger in August 2004 as the site's then only writer. In the meantime, she was also covering green design and architecture (as well as other topics) for publications including Interior Design, Design New England, and I.D., among other print and web outlets. For a brief but beloved period of time, she served as managing editor of Boston Magazine. She later authored the Slate Green Challenge with TreeHugger, which was nominated for a 2006 National Magazine Award; had a baby; and co-wrote Ready, Set Green: Eight Weeks to Modern Eco-Living, TreeHugger's first book. In January 2008, she became editor of TreeHugger and PlanetGreen.com. She lives in Newport, RI with her husband and son. You can follow Meaghan on Twitter @msoeden.
