2007 According to Damien Somerset: Greener Transportation

Here's the last batch. The other posts in this series can be found here. The first one with an explanation of what this is about is here.

First of all, I’m a dude…I’m a dude and I like cars! So I tend to get all worked up about things like the Tesla electric roadster, Pheonix Motors & their electric SUV, Plug In Hybrids, battery innovation, the ultra slim Tango, and the promise of electric transportation. As well as the rise of alternative fuels like biodiesel and ethanol. By the way, did you know that every standard gasoline car on the road could run on ethanol with a couple hundred dollars in parts… I’m just sayin’.Last year there were huge shifts in the automotive sector, not in the products we were offered, but with the pressure the car buying public put on auto makers to come up with the innovative solutions that we have been so often promised. This year you are going to start to see those pressures bear fruit with more choices in the marketplace, small cars like the Obvio from Zap, Bluetech for diesel, the Aygo from Toyota, and my personal favorite the Smart Car coming to America. In mid 2007 I will be first in line to buy the newly redesigned Smart ForTwo. So when you see that super fly Smart comin’ down the road with spinny rims, velvet interior, & blasting Treehugger Radio, you’ll know it’s me.
