The Stockholm syndrome, but in a good way!

You won't want to leave!

Our friend Clarence at Streetfilms has been to most of the great livable cities around the world. Places where bikes are fully integrated into the transportation system, where people can walk to where they're going, where kids can play outside safely, where people have access to great public transportation, have a real sense of community because they actually have places to meet each other, etc. These places should be templates and toolboxes for other cities, providing inspirations and proven ways to solve certain problems without having to reinvent the wheel every time.

Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is definitely one of these places, and sadly it often gets overshadows by other great cities like Amsterdam and Copenhagen. But not today! Let's shine a spotlight on many of the things that make the city such a great place to live:

Another good, ambitious idea: "Sweden is well-known as the birthplace of Vision Zero, the country's goal to eliminate road deaths and serious injuries by 2020. Several American cities have now made it their explicit goal to reduce traffic deaths to zero in the next 10 years."
