Unofficial Posters for London's 2012 Olympics Might Be Better than the Real

London's 2012 Olympic posters have been released and they are beautiful. But there are unofficial posters that don't take themselves quite so seriously.

These whimsical posters by the marketing and design company, with Relish, use unexpected but everyday objects to form the Olympic rings.

Sarah Hyndman has taken beer cans, coins, tape, food, stamps and half-eaten cookies to make her own personal version of the Olympic rings.

The designs celebrate the mundane objects of daily life--shrimps, coins and paper parasols. They depict a DIY, recycle, re-use side of the Olympics combined with that great sense of British irony.

It's clearly a bit addictive, so Hyndman has now committed herself to the Olympian task of arranging five objects in this way every day until the Games start in July.

You can follow her progress, but it will be hard to chose a favourite...
