TreeHugger TV Premieres Tonight!

TreeHugger was founded almost six years ago by Graham Hill in order to show that "being green" was not just for the stereotypical hippie environmentalist crowd. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) But it could be so much more.

Now, we're pleased to announce that we're expanding our reach even further with the launch of TreeHugger TV! Since launching in 2004, we have been expanding our reach and helping to show that sustainability can be mainstream. In August 2007, TreeHugger.com was acquired by Discovery Communications to help launch Planet Green, the first 24/7 cable network devoted to sustainability...and it only took us this long to get our own show!

Airing on Planet Green, TreeHugger TV will portray the variety of issues you've come to expect from TreeHugger online, but in a live and more in-depth format. In the first episode, reps from Seventh Generation, the eco-friendly company we all know and love, will be on hand to test air quality in various places. They're going to run errands with a VOC meter in an effort to determine what's in the air that most people are exposed to on a daily basis.

The results they expect to find? Probably what others have warned about before: that indoor air pollution can be 100 times the level of outdoor air pollution—and it can come from some pretty surprising sources.

That doesn't mean you can't improve it—try some indoor plants and a few other basic steps.

Check out Treehugger TV—Treehugger's fun and exciting new platform where we hope to continue growing and spreading the green word—to learn more.
