Turn Black Friday Green, Part I: KIND Towels

If you must shop the day after Thanksgiving, at least buy something sultry and green. Joel Fitzpatrick, famous for making Hush Puppies a household name, has launched KIND towels to put a little desire back into your cloth goods. The line is all-natural, un-dyed, unbleached, certified organic material. Plus they are designed with Fitzpatrick's signature eye to detail. Another added bonus is that as you use and wash them, they become softer to the touch.

Fitzpatrick has quite a number of green pieces in his full home décor collection - from recycled wool rugs to an alternative Christmas tree. He has a nose for green interior design and construction, too. His reason for creating the towels is that he craved something colorful, organic and sexy for the kitchen and bathroom. The pop from the bright trim (in orange, green or gray) along with a cashmere-esque feel makes them a joy to use.

I was provided a set of towels to use for a few weeks to find out if they were as useful as they were sustainable. And they are quite addictive - they literally get better every time you pull them from your linen closet. The big bath towel is perfect for drying off during a cold autumn morning before rushing to get ready for a day at the office. They are extra plush, and made from the highest quality organic Turkish cotton terry on the market. The combined elements allow for a luxurious, green-chic purchase that should keep your guilt for shopping at bay - if only until the next trip to the mall.
